Oil Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver

The Oil Warehouse Worker is responsible for the storage, distribution and delivery of product under the direction of the Petroleum Manager. This position also is responsible for knowledge and administrative duties associated with the transfer and sale of the product which includes both the wholesale and retail sale. The position is also responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the Warehouse, and keeping it clean and free of debris and responsible to remove debris and safety hazards from aisles

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. This position is mainly responsible for the distribution and delivery of product to customers in a timely manner.

  2. The Bulk Oil Division is responsible for the wholesale and retail sales and delivery of oil products. The Oil Warehouse Worker is responsible to assist with incoming/outgoing inventory and customer services calls both wholesale and retail customers. Knowledge and reporting of current tank levels.

  3. As a Warehouse employee, this position is responsible for knowledge and adherence of safety regulations pertaining to all products involved. Maintain up-to-date MSDS sheets and perform the annual bulk oil and self-audit (CHS). Document monthly spill prevention inspections.

  4. Attain and maintain propane certification as this position is responsible for filling propane tanks. Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety, health and operations procedures and directives required by State and Federal agencies. Able to assist customers with filling and lifting of tanks, up to 100lb propane tanks.

  5. This position requires proper and safe use of a forklift and acquire and maintain forklift safety training.

  6. Proper transfer documentation must be completed as per company policy, to include Bulk/Barrel transfers, merge transfers, c-store and Cooperative transfers and flush transfers.

  7. Knowledge of company transfer procedures and receiving of all vendors.

  8. Expected 40 hours of normal work are Monday – Friday. Specific hours of work will be set by the Petroleum Manager for the Department.

  9. Maintain a clean and safe work area following quality and safety guidelines.

  10. Performs other duties as requested by CEO or Petroleum Manager as needed for the success of the Company.

Preferred Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous bulk oil/propane experience.

  • Valid Class C Driver’s License with Hazmat Endorsement Required

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Performs repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and upper body while working with computers and paper. Sometimes the incumbent is required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders, squat and climb stairs. The employee must regular lift up to 45 pounds and up to 75lbs occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is typically indoors, however periodic trips, while walking, to the oil warehouse will subject the employee to cold or hot outside air. The employee can expect a normal level of expected office noise with this position. They employee may experience extended time outdoors while helping customers fill propane tanks, under various weather conditions.

The position is highly regulated by the federal and state government and the employee should expect to adjust and conform to any new regulations that affect this position or the company.

 

Compensation

20.00 to 21.00 per hour
